So to do all this, you just need to follow these steps.

 Step 1: First of all, you have to open your WhatsApp, after opening WhatsApp you will see three dots at the top on the right side, and you have to tap on this three dots. After tapping on three dots you will see many options, then here you will have to tap on 'Settings'.



Step 2: After going into 'Settings' you will see many options, but you have to tap on 'Account' here. After tapping on the 'Account', you have to tap on 'Privacy'.




Step 3: After tapping on privacy, you will get many options here, and you will have to tap on 'Status'. After tapping on 'Status', you can now set the privacy of your WhatsApp Status. Through Status privacy, we can show or hide our WhatsApp Status to our contacts. 
Here you will find three options:
  1. My contacts
  2. My contacts except...
  3. Only share with...
If 'My contacts' is checked, it means that your WhatsApp Status will be visible to all of your WhatsApp contacts. 
'My contacts except...' means that if you check this option, you will have to select those WhatsApp contacts which you do not want to show your WhatsApp Status.
'Only share with...' means that if you check this option, you will have to select those WhatsApp Contacts which you want to show your WhatsApp Status.
So with the help of the last 2 options, the contacts you select will be able to see or will not be able to see your WhatsApp Status.




Step 4: So if you check the 'My contacts except...' option, then you have to select those WhatsApp contacts from which you want to hide your WhatsApp Status. After selecting contacts, you will have to tap on the check mark you see at the bottom on the right side.
So, any number of contacts you select from here and tap on the check mark will not be able to see your WhatsApp Status.





Step 5: If you check the option 'Only share with...' then you have to select those WhatsApp contacts which you want to show your WhatsApp Status.
After selecting the contacts, you have to tap on the check mark given at the bottom on the right side. After that, the WhatsApp contacts you selected from here will only see your WhatsApp Status and others will not be able to see.






So this is the way we set the privacy for our WhatsApp Status. So if you want your WhatsApp Status to be seen by only specific people and others do not see your WhatsApp status then you have to follow this method. Or if you want your WhatsApp Status to be able to see all of your WhatsApp contacts except a few contacts,  you can also do that.
